The hurricane season is in full swing now, and Florida is a target once again:
Hopefully this storm won't turn out to be a repeat of Charley four years ago
I actually got back from South Florida at noon today after spending the weekend there, and rain was already pouring like hell on my way to the airport this morning. It let off after about 15 minutes, but I imagine it's gone back to downpour mode again.
Glad I got the hell out of there while I could, although the storm's probably gonna hit Orlando at some point anyway.

The storm has barely caused any damage in Orlando strangely enough, the worst thing that's happened to us so far is that the power outage that lasted about an hour. All we've gotten here are some heavy rain and the occasional wind gust... nothing like we saw back in '04
