well since he's unattached this year and therefore not on FIFA 08, i cant really give a fair assessment of him. i guess i could dig out FIFA 07 and see how they rated him on there, but come on, could using last years game really be seen as legitimate scouting 8)

its better than celtics scouting department :talktothehand:

appiah isnt good enough to get a game over scott brown. strachan would freeze him out of the squad and wed be stuck with a player with no value for 3-4 years

Appiah said it is his dream to go to England with Arsenal and Portsmouth after him. We should of bought him in January. :headwall:

Other players we can get who are free agents: (from Skysports)
Former Republic of Ireland international Steve Carr is hoping to be find a new club after failing to win a move during the transfer window.

Carr was released by Newcastle at the end of last season after the club decided not to renew his contract.

A number of clubs were credited with an interest in the full-back, but the 32-year-old still finds himself looking for pastures new.
(Carr does play RB most of the time, but he has also played LB occasionally and CB rarely)

Ian Harte, like his former Republic of Ireland team-mate Carr, is also hunting for a new club.

The former Leeds man was released by Sunderland earlier this summer after failing to establish himself in Roy Keane's plans

Harte won himself a trial at Wolves and although he was offered a deal at Molinuex, the player turned down the chance to join the ambitious Championship side.
(LB who is a deadly free kick specialist with his left foot also)

Quinton Fortune is looking to get his career back on track after seeing his last few years blighted by injury.

Portsmouth and Ipswich were believed to be interested in the former Manchester United man this summer, but no move materialised.

Fortune's versatility, in that he can play in midfield and defence, make him an attractive option for any possible suitors.
(He can play LM or LB)

I have no idea who this kid is, but he sounds good at least. If we get him, I see JVoH leaving in the summer. And Hutchinson goes where now? And how bout a defender?

(Reports are coming in today that Celtic are preparing to make a move for MK Dons striker Sam Baldock in the January transfer window.

According to Setanta Sports, Gordon Strachan has had his scouts watching the youngster, who has already scored three times this season, and will be making a personal visit to Milton Keynes to see him for himself very soon.

Baldock made his debut for the Dons when only 16 but has become a regular this season and is looking like a real prospect. He is already being tipped as a possible England regular in the future.

If Strachan can get him in January it could be a good investment for the Scottish Champions.)

Bosnian midfielder Stilic keen to move to Celtic

Quote:
Bosnian international Semir Stilic has urged Lech Poznan to sanction a move to Celtic in this month's transfer window.

The 21-year-old midfielder has been linked with a £2.5million move to the Scottish champions.

Reports suggest he is also attracting interest from Spanish outfit Espanyol but the highly-rated youngster remains keen on a switch to Celtic.

He told the Scottish Daily Mail: ''I want to leave Lech Poznan. It is an honour for me that a great club like Celtic are interested.

''I know Lech appreciate me and want me to stay. But, if Lech agree, I would like to move club now.

''I don't want to wait because I don't even know if Celtic would still want me in six months' time.''

obviously not in our price range but Kolo Toure handed in a transfer request at Arsenal because he hates Gallas.
