Shit, didn't know they resurfaced it. I found it quite odd they would pick a stadium with artificial turf, especially cause there was so much backlash from the choice.

there's been a bit of backlash with the roof being reduced to only "covering" the sides, instead of the full, wrap-around design initially presented. it can be blamed on the cost of steel nowadays, so it sucks. but then again, it's being designed with future expansion in mind.

then there are the "cookie cutter" comments, saying it looks a lot like that stadiums for RSL, colorado, LA, etc. there may be similarities between them all - they were designed by the same architect afterall - but damn, does philly have the location, landmarks, and views. it's gonna be freaking awesome!

Actually, I thought it looked a little different. When all of these stadiums have similar seating capacities you are going to have similar looking stadiums. At least you guys have the roof!

Stadium looks great! Right on the river.

And going back to that Sector Latino story, it doesn't surprise me that shady dealings were happening behind the scenes then they decide to do some good in the community. That's what Chicago politics is known for.

I like how Section 8 is fully behind them. Stick together in front of racism. I'm getting tired of police and security abusing their power. I want the Fire to backhand this security firm, so none of the ultras leave and the Bridgeview loses all of it's intensity.

In other news: McBride and Thorrington are fecking amazing. Like we all knew.

Second place. Ill be watching NE lose on FSC and hoping that RSL destroy Cumblowus. Bonne Chance, Rudy ;)

it'll be 18,500 to begin, with room to expand in the future ... i guess if the demand is there, similar to up in toronto.
