Sein bisher letztes Länderspiel bestritt Hinkel am 3. September 2005 bei der 0:2-Niederlage gegen die Slowakei in Bratislava.
Der WM-Dritte Deutschland trifft zum Auftakt der WM-Qualifikation am Samstag (6. September) in Vaduz (20.45 Uhr/live in der ARD) auf Liechtenstein und am 10. September in Helsinki (19. 35 Uhr MESZ/live im ZDF) auf Finnland. and some celts say they dont think hes good enough. yea germany are walkovers.

After this previous Old Firm game, all the Hinkel negatives came flying out. Never heard a bad thing towards him for awhile before the game.
