By the way, didn't Robson get a call-up as well?

Nakamura opened up the scoring for Japan with a trademark free kick :SnoopyYESS:

He hesitated for about five seconds after Endo played dummy, then unleashed a low, driving ball into the bottom left corner way out of the keeper's reach and into the goal.

Japan up 2-0 at half-time courtesy of an Endo pen :SnoopyYESS:

Japan beats Bahrain away by the count of 3-2, though we were made to sweat out the final minutes after they cut the three-goal lead to a single goal in the space of about three minutes.

Win's a win, though. And Naka looked like the Naka of old (well, 06/07). I don't think he made a misplaced pass all game.

if nothing else :Caldwell: and :McManus: have yet again proven that they are not a good pairing at all. Caldwell played well against Macedonia, but McManus was shit

i made a decision this weekend that they are both far too similar to ever be able to work together in a back line. both are not particularly fast, pretty good in air, not too great on ground, very one sided (Gary his right, Mick his left) and neither of them is capable of organizing a back-line.

the two center backs need to compliment each other, or at least be able to work well enough together that they get the job done....these two clearly do not

right now i see :LOOVENS: and :Caldwell: as our strongest pairing
