i know we already are a global name, but the debate about the red sox got me to thinking.....

if (ghod willing) celtic rattle off say 5 CL titles in the next decade and win the SPL every year, making us easily the biggest club in europe (think man u right now only bigger), you can only imagine the flood of "fans" that we would have to deal with, celtic park would house even more of so-called fans that know nothing of the history than it does now, leading to a bland atmosphere and freezing out of the true and local fans, our stories and our songs will fall by the wayside, our beloved csc's even becoming infested with people who simply want to look cool or support a winning team

given these circumstances, would the price of success be too much to remain a celtic fan? when wearing the hoops anywhere outside of glasgow (and even in) gets you sneers of "glory hunter" or "fair-weather" fan even though you know deep down you've been there through the worst.......?

If people forget our history, and our stories and songs fall to the wayside I will still be a Celtic fan, fighting for every second to educate the new fans, or get rid of the ones who don't want to learn. Even if these new glory-hunters do come to be "fans" of Celtic, the true fans will still be there and we will stick together.
Besides, within a few years these glory-hunters will follow a new team and our club will be mostly cleansed.

Even if they did, I don't care. I know somewhere down there is the true Celtic FC I fell in love with. Just like the Cubs I can't control the fans, but as long as the club remains the same then I will always be with Celtic.
