Celtic seem to finally have made a high profile move this off season today when they came to an agreement with Barcelona FC for young Catalnonian midfielder Marc Crosas. Crosas has been called the next Xavi and is 20 years old. Celtic will pay anywhere from half a million to 900,000 euros, depending on the amount of appearances and performance of Crosas. If Celtic sell Crosas then Barcelona will get 25% of that fee. Barcelona also also have the option of buying Crosas back for 2 million euros.

He mostly plays central midfield and can play defensive midfield as well. A coach at Barca compare him to Xavi.

Got this bit of info from another forum:

Quote:
Crosas was kinda deemed surplus to requirements by Pep, but that may change as he has impressed in pre-season so far. He can play DM or CM, has a very good range of passing and is accurate with long and short passes. Quite a creative little player too, but you have Nakamura so you shouldn't worry about creativity from the midfield. I don't know what formation you guys play (when I played FM with Celtic I just played 4-2-3-1 lol) but if he does join you on loan, he'll be a very useful squad player, much more so than he was at Lyon.

Seems like he can be a useful asset for the Hoops *wink*

From A Barca english forum via KDS

Quote:
"Also, Crosas is extremely underrated."

"I like crosas alot. I have always been looking forward to him coming through. He controlled the game well and hardly gave the ball away. Im sure he played as a dm before, but its good to see him given a bit more of an advanced role. The commentator said he reminds him of cesc which is true. Not the strongest, but a good passer and mover. And forward passes, not hori-xavi passes (my name for horizontal passes)."

"I feel that Crosas is better than Xavi at offensive passing."

Seems like he could be a good pick-up, especially with Naka out.
